Professional Biography:

Scott Wood has a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. He is a certified Level II Thermographer, as well a certification in Building Science Thermography (CBST). His other certifications include: Applications of Infrared Thermography in the Inspection and Diagnosis of Low Slope Commercial Roofing Systems, Council-certified Microbial Remediation Supervisor (CMRS), Certification as asbestos inspector (AHERA Accreditation for Inspector), Certification as asbestos abatement supervisor (CAL OSHA Contractor/Supervisor), IICRC Water Damage Restoration and Health and Safety Technician, IICRC Health and Safety Technician, and IICRC Odor Removal, Decontamination and Disinfection Technician.

His numerous courses and seminars include Disaster Kleenup International, ATC and Associates/The Environmental Institute, Environmental Testing and Technology, American Indoor Air Quality Council (AmIAQ), Oak Ridge National Laboratory and Fraunhofer Institute of Building Physics WUFI/ORNL, Infrared Training Center (ITC).

Mr. Wood's professional experience includes being employed by Four Star Cleaning and Restoration, past position as Environmental Remediation and Infrared Divisions Manager, and is currently the Technical Director responsible for consulting/investigator of construction defects, water intrusion and infrared thermography, review all infrared inspection reports, technical research, technical support, and project management. He also is a member of the Building Science Institute where he is a primary instructor/consultant for Building Science Institute. He provides instruction for courses, trains and coordinates instructors, write all course manuals, primary contact and provider for clinics and workshops, and review all student reports for certification.
